Lotus Biscuits - Limited edition wrappers

From mid May 2010, Lotus Original Caramelised Biscuits from Cafe Bar will be issued in limited edition wrappers containing six new lifestyle messages in mixed sleeves - the ideal treat to go with a hot beverage.

The desire is to engage with consumers in a way that brings the Lotus brand to life in a relevant and motivating way. The idea of taking the ‘reflective moment’ with coffee (defined by consumers as 'me-time') resonated strongly with consumers.

Positioned as slightly humorous, female-biased, friendly and crucially speaking to the ‘me-time’ moment.

Lotus Original Caramelised Biscuits fit perfectly with this moment in a unique and distinctive way, making it an ownable territory to Lotus, who plan to use the biscuit as a communication tool in its own right.

The six new messages will appear in mixed sleeves of biscuits. Standard stock will be substituted for the limited edition wrappers for approximately four weeks in May 2010.

There will be 8 million wrappers in total. The promotion is likely to run again in September 2010.
