As Christmas looms, firms may find they wish to
invest in an
office coffee machine as a festive gift for staff.
They may do so after comments by PurpleLine Consulting about how
employers can ensure they maintain a good working relationship with
their labour force.
According to the organisation's human resources consultant
Hilary Jeanes, bosses should introduce measures that will "help you
to build positive relationships with the people who work with and
for you".
The business coach and facilitator explained that "at this time
of year, team Christmas lunches and secret Santa helps
communication and team-working".
She added flexibility with parents and providing a few hours to
complete festive shopping can also boost morale and improve
employee retention levels.
A coffee machine could also provide a way of employers showing
staff they care about them after Right Corecare clinical director
Kevin Friery suggested it is important that bosses address the
wellbeing of their staff and realise their value.
