Many workers are unwilling to get rid of their
coffee machine, according to a new study.
Keeping the coffee machine at work is more important to
employees than saving the environment, a new survey has
found.
According to research by officebroker.com, more than half of all
workers would be happy to do away with some of their company's
green policies instead of lose their hot drinks provider.
However, people were found to be willing to make various sacrifices
in order to guarantee they keep their job.
For instance, nearly half said they would be prepared to trim their
lunch breaks if necessary, while 14 per cent stated that they would
go without cigarette breaks.
Chris Meredith, officebroker.com's head of
sales, commented: "Lunch breaks were the first thing people were
willing to sacrifice, although I think it's fair to say many
already do."
The findings come after stress expert Terri
Bodell warned that failing to take enough breaks during the working
day can lead to employees becoming fatigued and less
productive.
