Businesses might want to invest in an office
coffee machine after the drink was named as the perfect pick-me-up
for winter.
According to research by Quaker, many people
believe coffee is the ideal tonic to help them deal with cold
winter mornings, Female First reports.
Indeed, 53 per cent said they consider it more important than any
other type of food and drink at this time of the year.
As a result, businesses wanting to ensure
their staff remain productive during the dark mornings might find
investing in a coffee machine highly worthwhile.
Indeed, Professor Merlin Thomas of the Baker
IDI Heart & Diabetes Institute recently told the Conversation
that coffee can be highly "invigorating on those dreary mornings
when we'd rather be in bed".
He put this down to the fact the drink blocks the adenosine
receptors that dull brain activity, which means it can leave a
person feeling stimulated.
