Caffeine lovers who regularly have a brew from the
office coffee machine might want to start trying some Brazilian
blends.
According to Cooperativa Regional de
Cafeicultores em Guaxupe Ltda, the South American country has
enjoyed "quite intense" flowering in the last few days, Bloomberg
reports.
Speaking to the news agency, director of the group Mario Ferraz
said this has resulted in a particularly impressive coffee
crop.
As a result, fans of the hot beverage might
wish to sample some Brazilian blends offered by their coffee
machine at work.
"Flowering suggests we are having great
quality this year," Mr Ferraz commented.
This comes after figures from the
International Coffee Organisation, published by PTI, indicated that
Brazil is likely to produce 43.15 million bags of coffee during
2011-12.
Estimates also suggest that 4.7 million bags
will come out of Mexico throughout the next coffee year, while 20
million bags are tipped to be produced in Vietnam.
