Employers who want to make sure their staff are
alert and awake on cold winter mornings might find investing in a
coffee machine a good idea.
A new poll by Quaker has revealed that many
employees are keen to stay in bed as long as possible in a bid to
delay facing the cold and dark winter mornings, reports Female
First.
Figures showed that more than one in three people are freeing up
time to stay in bed by not having breakfast before they set off for
work.
Businesses may therefore consider investing in
a coffee machine a good idea, as it could help employees who have
not eaten wake up and get in the right frame of mind for work.
Nevertheless, GP and broadcaster Dr Dawn
Harper insisted that eating a healthy breakfast is still a good way
to make people feel happier and more energetic.
"Whilst it may be tempting to sleep in for
longer on winter mornings, this shouldn't be at the expense of your
breakfast or your job," she added.
This comes after the British Coffee
Association noted that people can safely drink about four to five
cups of coffee each day.
